One of the projects I’ve been working on this week has been a WordPress Plugin that allows direct SMS integration with Connective Mobile. The plugin is quite robust, with both an administrative interface and an author interface. The admin interface allows you to manage the integration’s features. The author interface allows you to add subscribers and send out messages to your text club subscribers.

I love the idea of connecting the blogging platform with SMS integration. I would find it very valuable to be able to send out a mass text messaging to all of my SMS subscribers. My hope is that users don’t abuse the priveledge of sending out SMS messages to their subscribers.

I’m wondering why a blogger would ever have a need to send texts to his or her readers. I can’t think of a single thing that would be critical enough to text about– maybe breaking news or that sort of thing, but…

Hey Andy! Thanks for the post. I think that (at least for me) I would use the text messaging feature to reach my friends… Being 24, the group of my friends would be more likely to read my posts if I was sending them a text message.
Breaking news would be a good example.
My friend is a DJ on a college radio station and he could use this program to send our a group reminder that the weekly show is on. Just one possible use.
This would be a great feature for the small judo club website I have just completed. If for some reason his judo session is canceled etc, he could send them out a message.
The best thing would be exactly the opposite. Having your customers creating posts via SMS to your usiness blog!! I think that it would require a dedicated server to encode sms into posts and then feed the blog..
Exactly what I am looking for in my soccer club. I want coaches to have the ability to text practice schedule changes, last minute venue updates etc.

thats what i require, a sms gateway payment system used to charge users to place an add…a wordpress plugin would be ideal.
